BASIC REQUIREMENTS TO WORK IN THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY
* High School Diploma or GED

* Valid driver's license ( *could be some company exceptions to this)
* DUI Convictions
- The number of DUI's and how long ago are factors in the hiring process
which varies from employer to employer. It is important not
to have DUI's in the past 3 -5 years. DUI's may be a barrier
to obtaining a job in the industry.
* Criminal background check
- If you have felony convictions, this may be a barrier to obtaining a job
in the oil and gas industry. The hiring of ex-offenders varies from employer
to employer.
* Drug Testing
- You must be able to pass a drug test and remain drug free.
* Able to work outside in all types of weather
* Able to work 60 - 100 hours per week
* Able to work weekends and holidays
* Able to travel and be away from home for work
* Able to be on-call 24 hours
* Able to lift 60 pounds many times per day
